Additional Options

NOTE: At this time we have not added the shopping cart feature or hardiness zones to our plant descriptions. If you wish to make a purchase please send us an email or use the Contact Us button at the top of the page. This is a new service we are adding so please be patient as we add these features. Thank you.

Most plants will be shipped Fedex Home Delivery which usually takes 2 business days.  We do most of our shipping on Mondays or Tuesdays to prevent having plants sitting in hot and/or cold warehouses and trucks over the weekend. We will not ship plants into areas that are experiencing extremely hot or cold temperatures. We will wait until the weather is more suitable.

Preparing Plants for Shipping : We will make every effort to ensure that our trees and shrubs are healthy and in good condition before we prepare them for shipping. We only ship 1 gallon plants that have been grown in a professional nursery growing mix. The plants will be well watered and allowed to drain. All loose growing mix will be gently removed and the root ball will be wrapped in wet paper. Each plant is then placed in a plastic bag and secured to the box to prevent any breakage. Most of our plants will be 18-36" tall with a 6" diameter root ball depending on the variety. We are not able to ship vegetable plants or annuals due to their delicate nature. Herbs will be available in the spring and summer while quantities last. Trees and shrubs will be available year round (weather permitting). Perennials will be available in the spring and summer as soon as they have come out of dormancy.

We will not be held responsible for damage caused by shipping companies after the plants have left our nursery. This is something that is beyond our control.

We ONLY ship within the United States. We do not make shipments to Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico.

If you are interested in a particular plant but you are not sure if it will survive where you live, check the hardiness zones listed with each plant. If you do not know what hardiness zone you live in, go to the link below, type in your zip code and they will tell you the hardiness zone for where you live.

To order plants, look for the  Add to Cart  buttons.

Not all Plants will have these buttons. Some plants are too large or delicate to ship. Other plants may be out of stock or unavailable due to season.

After Receiving Your Package : You will be notified  once your package has been shipped and when to expect its arrival. These packages cannot be left in the hot sun or freezing cold for extended periods of time so please make sure that someone will be available to receive your plants or make arrangements for your plants to be left in a shaded or protected area. Please open your package as soon as you receive it. Don't leave your plants sealed up in the box with no air circulation too long, this could lead to rotting. Check the plants you ordered to see if they need water.

Plant your new plants as soon as possible and keep them well watered for the first year. If your ground has a thick layer of clay under the top soil, this may prevent water from draining properly. In this case be careful not to over water. Do not plant trees and shrubs too deep. Dig the holes wider than the root ball and fill the hole back in with a good potting mix or a mixture of 1/2 potting mix and 1/2 soil you removed from the hole. Water the newly planted tree or shrub well to force out any air and settle the soil in around the roots. Never dig in soil that is too wet or frozen.

If it is not possible for you to plant your plant right away, repot your plants into a container of some kind using a good potting mix. Make sure your container has holes for drainage and keep it well watered. Containers dry out fast, especially if they are out side. If your plants are wilted when they arrive, place them in a bucket of water until they perk up ( 1 hour or so ) before planting them in the ground.

Payment : We accept Paypal, Cash, and Personal Checks. If using Paypal, we will begin the shipping process immediately. If paying by check, shipping will be delayed until the check has cleared the bank. We will try to have all orders processed within one week. However, weather and holidays may delay shipping.
